Senior Citizen Home Safety Association – Smart Home For Seniors

Senior Citizen Home Safety Association

The Association is a self-financing social enterprise and charitable organization in Hong Kong that offers 24-hour personal caring and emergency assistance services to the elderly and others in need through our core service, Personal Emergency Link, with the mission to enhance the living quality of the elderly in the community through the use of technology and people-oriented services.

The Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (SCHSA) has initiated the Smart Home For Seniors Pilot Programme, which aims to pioneer a platform for home-based elderly care that integrates smart home technology with the vast experience that SCHSA has built up over the past 20 years.
Anchored in the high level of support from SCHSA sophisticated Call and Care Centre, the Pilot Programme seeks to minimise home accidents for the elderly that involve wet bathrooms or fire from unattended cooking. Ultimately, they want to empower our senior citizens to age more independently, safely and smartly.
In addition, during the 3-year pilot programme, SCHSA will invite a total of 1,000 eligible elderly as pilot users to participate the free trial in their home by phase.
